Stuart Williams, Ph.D.


Stuart Williams is the Chief Financial Officer for Mercury Well Control with 30 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Geology, Safety and Environmental aspects. Stuart began at Exxon as a Senior Research Geologist before founding Envirotest in 1987 in Houston with a second office in Corpus Christi.

He acquired Sitex Environmental in 1997 then bought Professional Safety & Health in 1999 which became Sitex Safety & Rescue in 2006. Sitex is based in St Louis with 3 other offices in Texas and Oklahoma. He brings to Mercury years of knowledge as CEO of his own companies with the financial experience and acumen to run them efficiently.

Dr. Williams is a native of Boston and attended Tufts for his B.S in Geology and The University of Miami for his Ph.D. in Marine Geology and Geophysics. Dr Williams is a member American Association of Petroleum Geologists, AAPG Division of Environmental Geosciences, National Registry of Environmental Professionals, Air and Waste Management Association, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. He splits his time between Houston and St Louis.
